Before appearing on American Idol, Sparks participated in and won such talent competitions as Sprite Rising Star, Gospel Music Association GMA Academy, The Proof Is In The Pudding Contest, NBC/PAX America's Most Talented Kids, Colgate Country Showdown and the 2007 Drug Free AZ Superstar Search.

In 2006, Sparks was one of six winners who won the Phoenix Torrid search for the "Next Plus Size Model." She was flown to California, where she was used in a number of Torrid ads and promotional pieces. A full-page ad for Torrid featuring Sparks ran in the December 2006 issue of Seventeen magazine.

On August 17, 2007, it was announced Sparks had signed to 19 Recordings/Jive Records/Zomba Label Group, becoming the first Idol winner to join the label group. Along with the label announcement, the first single was revealed to be "Tattoo", which was released to U.S. radio on August 27, 2007.

Hale's Third album was release last April 28, 2008, and for some reason I dont know why I did not hear anything from this album until one of my friend from www.imeem.com forward a song to me, which is Sandali Na lang. In my own opinion I think this third Album did not get more attention or should I say the publicity was not enough, Its been a year and this is the first time that I heard that they have launched a third album.

due to low publicity and economic crisis the third album Above, Over and Beyond had low number of sales since last year. currently the third single Sandali Na Lang are now playing in all radio stations and currently getting good ratings, to all Hale fans out there lets all support Hale and put them back on top.

He was referring to slow sales of “Above, Over and Beyond” in 2008 due to troubles affecting their label, EMI. Parent EMI International had shut its Philippine division due to downsizing, Lui-Pio says, but all the EMI contract artists were now part of a new label, Polyeast.

“They are marketing the third album. Hindi na-push masyado. Walang guarantee talaga,” Lui-Pio says.

Hale, he stresses, is marketing and promoting “Above, Over and Beyond” on their own.

“We’re trying to help ourselves kasi we’re not relying on the label now to push the album kasi they are concerned with their own problems. Hopefully by (this year), we’re going to make a strong push for the album,” he says.

He notes that they are looking at new avenues in selling and recording music, particularly on the Internet platform which is currently exploding.

“There are a lot of avenues to share your music. Hindi naman kailangan you’re under a label. You don’t need big recording companies anymore. You can innovate. You can actually find a lot of ways to access listeners, like online. You can upload and share music.”

“Above” is the third of a five-album deal with EMI.

Despite the setbacks and challenges, Hale remains as a solid unit that still sticks to the basics.

Pussy Cat Dolls also know from their abbreviation of PCD, are an American pop girl group and dance ensemble founded by choreographer Robin Antin. The group originated in 1995 as a burlesque troupe based in Los Angeles, California. In 2006, the Pussycat Dolls performed live shows in North America supporting the Black Eyed Peas. As headliners they toured the UK, Europe, Philippines and Malaysia.The group has also performed in Singapore for the annual Singfest.

On the date August 8, 2006, after a Dolls concert in Kuala Lumpur, their concert promoter, Absolute Entertainment, was charged with flouting Malaysian decency laws. The Malay Mail quoted Culture Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Mohamad Arif Abdul Rahman as saying: "I believe the way the Pussycat Dolls behaved onstage amounted to gross indecency". The charge was settled by paying a fine of RM5000 (US$1358).

Lady Gaga or also Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (born 20 March 1986), is an American singer-songwriter and musician, born in Yonkers, New York and grew up in Manhattan, where she attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts.

Her name Lady Gaga came from the Queen song, "Radio Ga-Ga".

Lady Gaga is a natural brunette, though her hair has not been in its natural color since 2008. According to Times Online, her hair is dyed because as a brunette, she kept being mistaken for fellow singer-songwriter Amy Winehouse.

Lady Gaga was originally signed to Def Jam when she was 19 years old; but was dropped by the label after 3 months.

Music executive Vincent Herbert and signed Lady Gaga to Interscope in January 2008. Impressed by her ear for melody and knack for spotting a great hook, various acts — Akon’s Konvict label, as well as Fergie, Pussycat Dolls, Britney Spears and New Kids on the Block — have hired her as a songwriter.

It was Akon, who, upon hearing her sing a reference vocal for one of his tracks, recognized that Gaga also had vocal talent. Akron ultimately convinced Jimmy Iovine to sign her to a joint deal with his own label, Kon Live Distribution.

Throughout 2007, Lady Gaga collaborated with the similarly named Lower East Side Rock DJ, go-go dancer and performance artist Lady Starlight, who helped Gaga create her onstage fashions.

It was through her affiliation with Akon that Gaga started to work on her own new material for her debut album with producer RedOne. Already having a solid selection of electro-glam, David Bowie-esque, Queen inspired songs, Gaga wanted to mix her retro dance beats with urban melodies, a pop chorus and still retain a rock 'n' roll edge. The first song they produced was a mash-up of Mötley Crüe's hit "Girls, Girls, Girls" and AC/DC's "T.N.T.".

The Fame (album)

"The Fame is about how anyone can feel famous", she explains. "Pop culture is art. It doesn’t make you cool to hate pop culture, so I embraced it and you hear it all over The Fame. But, it’s a sharable fame. I want to invite you all to the party. I want people to feel a part of this lifestyle." To this album, Gaga also stated she "married" a lot of different genres – "from Def Leppard drums and handclaps to metal drums on urban tracks".

Gaga started to work with a collective called the "Haus of Gaga", who collaborate with their muse on clothing, stage sets and sounds. "In this industry, you get a lot of stylists and producers thrown at you, but this is my own creative team, modelled on Warhol’s Factory. Everyone is under 26 and we do everything together."

The Fame was released in August in Canada, Australia and some European countries, peaking at number one in Canada and Ireland and four in Australia.

On 5 December 2008, Gaga was added to the BBC Sound of 2009 longlist, which features the best rising music stars. Gaga was confirmed as the support act for Pussycat Dolls on their Europe and Oceania arena dates from January until May 2009
